Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
They are technicians that can also be called surgical technologists. They assist in preparing the room for surgery and they are responsible for having all the surgical equipment such as, sterile bandages, linens, fluids, and other equipment. They must also assist the doctor during surgery and clean the instruments and sponges. They may also be used as assassinates to deliver packages or specimens.

Salary:
$16,000 - $22,000

Education:
A high school diploma certificate is required. Many vocational and junior colleges offer programs in operating room technology. At the end of all programs, students are required to take an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists and pass it, to become certified.
