Student Success Statement
Cowardice asks the question 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question 'It is politic?'
Vanity asks the question 'Is is popular?'

But, conscience asks the questions, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor
popular, but one must take it because one's
conscience tells one that it is right.
-Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr.

This is a great quote by a great man. He is basically saying that you can be cocky, rude, disrespectful, but deep inside you always know that what you do is wrong and bad. Your conscience always wins over, and that is when you realize that all you have done is bad. He is stating that conscience is the only thing that makes us, humans.

"Let us have faith that right makes might, and in faith let us to the end dare to do our duty as we understand it."
-Abraham Lincoln

-I think what this amazing president means is that you should always do right, and doing right should be your most powerful weapon. If everyone used the power of being fair and just, there would be no problems in the world that we can't solve. We just need to understand that being right is all we need as a human to live long without conflict or wars.
