Clinical Laboratory Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
They include both technicians and technologists, they are
often referred as Medical Office Technicians and they both perform laboratory
work in identifying, diagnosing and treating all sorts of disease. The types of
equipment vary but they often use microscopes, chemicals, and powerful
computers. They may also collect and culture blood and disease specimens.
Salary: $20,000 - $28,000
$25,000 - $40,000
Education:
Students must take the most challenging high school courses
in science, math, and English. To become a technicians or technologists, they
must have an associate’s degree in the field. Usually, a bachelor’s degree is
required to enter the field, but some schools may take an associates’ degree
and an extensive training program.
Do you think you would like to be one?
No I would not like to be one because I think it is very
boring and not cool. I think all you do this experiment and do studies, I would
much rather prefer doing things that are exciting such as surgery.
